“Before Echo” (Πριν την Ηχώ) is the follow-up to the narrative and introspection that began with “HERE”, the audio-visual introduction to the universe of FEF.

“Before Echo” consists of 46 drawings, divided into 23 pairs which lean towards minimalism and abstraction, both in their technique, which combines automatic writing and automatic drawing, with black paint on paper serving as the sole medium, as well as in the thematic abstraction, reflected by the work’s connection with the ancient myth of the nymph Echo.

“FEF : Before Echo” was presented to the public at the Aristomenis Theodoropoulos’s 2nd solo show, which was held at the Boiler - Project Space, in Athens, on May 10, 2019. The work was also published as a limited edition artist’s book, released and presented during the exhibition.
